The system achieves ultra-high-speed processing 300 times faster than conventional systems (under one second) and 1/100th power consumption, capable of handling everything from stationary objects to high-speed moving objects traveling at 20 km/h. It precisely detects minute defects such as scratches, dents, and wrinkles, while digitalizing skilled inspector techniques to achieve quality standardization. Mobile battery operation enables easy integration into existing production lines, contributing to solving challenges in manufacturing sites facing severe labor shortages as a next-generation inspection solution.

    GTIE is a platform that supports the university-based startup ecosystem, centered around Japan's major universities and research institutes located in the Tokyo metropolitan area. As a national Japanese project, GTIE cultivates world-changing startups based on university researches.

    Now, we will exhibit researchs that aim to become businesses in the near future. Because GTIE is based on university researchs, the future startups that will emerge from them will cover a wide range of business activities.

    The first exhibit is an intuitive controller for remote-controlled robots. Commercially available devices utilizing IFHD technology can be used in a wide range of applications, and this controller will help create a society where anyone can easily and accurately operate robots, vehicles, and other devices.

    The second one is a device that enables high-speed, low-computation, and low-power appearance inspection of glossy and transparent objects, which were difficult to inspect using conventional image inspection methods. This will greatly contribute to improving the yield of a variety of products.

    Our next-generation electron source achieves both high resolution and high throughput in semiconductor inspection. Unlike conventional electron sources, it can operate in low vacuum conditions of 100 Pa, eliminating the need for expensive vacuum pumps. It offers an exceptionally narrow energy spread of 120 meV—less than half of the 300 meV typical of the most advanced tungsten cold cathodes—delivering superior energy monochromaticity for high-resolution imaging. Thanks to electron emission from a flat surface, the electron beam divergence is below 1 degree. Moreover, leveraging semiconductor microfabrication technology, the electron source can be integrated and scaled into multi-beam configurations, enabling advanced applications.
